ABOUT THIS COURSE
RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures gives every worker on site the practical knowledge they need to operate safely, recognise risk, and respond to incidents in line with site rules.
The unit covers the full worker-level scope of WHS responsibility — from understanding your legal duty of care, to interpreting safety signs and SWMS, to participating in toolbox talks and reporting hazards through the right channels.
It complements site-specific inductions by grounding workers in the broader WHS framework — duties under the Act, the role of HSRs and committees, and the controls applied across the resources and infrastructure sectors.
