ABOUT THIS COURSE
Fire Extinguisher delivers PUAFER008 — the standalone qualification for confining small emergencies in a facility, with strong focus on fire behaviour, extinguisher selection and the practical PASS technique.
This short course is for workers who need fire extinguisher competency without the full warden qualification — typically maintenance staff, kitchen workers, workshop personnel and anyone whose role includes a higher-than-average likelihood of a small fire incident.
It pairs well with foundation emergency awareness (PUAFER001) and is sometimes delivered as a refresher for existing wardens between full warden refreshers.
