ABOUT THIS COURSE
HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid is the senior qualification for designated first aid responders and workplace emergency teams — extending standard first aid with advanced casualty assessment, airway management and team-based response.
This course goes beyond HLTAID011 with advanced patient assessment, oxygen therapy, advanced airway adjuncts (OPA/NPA), spinal management and coordination of multi-responder scenes. It is suited to industrial first aid teams, emergency response teams and senior workplace first aiders.
The qualification is widely required across mining, manufacturing, construction and other industries with elevated risk profiles. It includes the HLTAID009 CPR unit as a core component.
