ABOUT THIS COURSE
HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting is the specialist qualification for educators, teachers and childcare workers — meeting ACECQA and National Quality Framework requirements.
This course extends standard first aid with specific focus on infant, child and adolescent emergencies. It includes detailed training on anaphylaxis (with auto-injector practice) and asthma management — the two leading causes of preventable death in school-age children.
The qualification meets the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and is approved by ACECQA for educators in early childhood settings.
