ABOUT THIS COURSE
MSMPER201 Monitor and control work permits is the supervisor-level permit unit — the competency for area coordinators and shift supervisors who oversee permit activity, manage interactions between work parties, and ensure permits are run, reviewed and closed properly.
The unit sits between the worker-level MSMPER200 and the issuer-level MSMPER300. It covers the operational management of active permits — verifying controls are in place, walking the area to confirm conditions, coordinating between concurrent work parties, and managing the closeout sequence.
It is widely required for area supervisors, leading hands and shift coordinators in processing, gas, mining and chemical environments where permit-to-work is the primary safety control system.
