ABOUT THIS COURSE
RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace is the entry-level communication unit from the resources and infrastructure training package — built around the recognition that most safety incidents and rework on site trace back to a missed message, a misheard instruction, or an incomplete handover.
The unit covers the practical communication a worker is expected to perform every shift — receiving and confirming instructions, contributing to toolbox talks, completing radio protocols, and writing accurate reports and handovers.
It is widely used as part of site induction packages, contractor pre-qualification, and as a standalone unit for workers whose previous training did not include a formal communication competency.
