ABOUT THIS COURSE
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is the foundation of all first aid — equipping you with the skills to respond immediately to cardiac arrest and keep a person alive until emergency services arrive.
This course covers CPR technique for adults, children and infants, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and the DRSABCD action plan. It is aligned with the most current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and is a component of the full First Aid (HLTAID011) qualification.
CPR skills deteriorate quickly without practice. The ARC recommends this course be renewed annually to maintain currency and competency.
