ABOUT THIS COURSE

Facility Emergency Prevention — Identify and Report delivers PUAFER001 — the foundation emergency awareness qualification for every worker in a facility. It equips staff to spot emergency hazards, take preventive action and report concerns through the right channels before incidents escalate.

This short course is designed as foundation awareness training for all employees, contractors and visitors who work in a facility covered by AS 3745-2010 (Planning for emergencies in facilities). It covers the warning signs of common workplace emergencies — fire, hazardous materials, security threats and structural risks — and the reporting pathways every worker is expected to follow.

It pairs naturally with the more advanced PUAFER002 (for safety officers ensuring systems are implemented) and PUAFER004 (for workers responding to emergencies). Together these three units form the foundation tier of the AS 3745-2010 emergency framework.
