ABOUT THIS COURSE
RIIRIS301E Apply risk management processes lifts the risk skill set from individual task control to the management of risk across a work group, shift or area — the standard expected of supervisors, leading hands and team leaders.
Where the worker-level unit covers task-level risk, this unit covers the systems and decisions that sit above it — designing controls for the work group, populating and maintaining the risk register, and ensuring all crew members are trained and authorised for the risks they are exposed to.
The unit aligns with AS/NZS ISO 31000 risk management principles and is widely used as the baseline competency for supervisors in mining, civil, infrastructure and resources operations.
