What does Inertia Training do?
Inertia Training delivers nationally recognised and non-accredited workplace safety and emergency response training for Australian businesses. Our focus is practical, compliant training aligned to real operational environments, particularly in high-risk industries.
Are you an RTO? What is your RTO number?
Inertia Training is the trading name of Pro Med International the registered RTO, RTO Provider # 40705.
Are your courses nationally recognised?
Where applicable, our accredited courses lead to nationally recognised units of competency or qualifications. Statements of Attainment or qualifications are issued by RTO 40705 in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Who do you work with?
We primarily work with businesses operating in high-risk, site-based environments including mining, civil construction, manufacturing, maintenance and shutdown operations.
Where do you deliver training?
We deliver training Australia-wide, with a strong focus on on-site delivery in high-risk and operational environments.
We regularly service Queensland and New South Wales and mobilise to Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria for regional and remote engagements.
Our model prioritises travelling to your site to deliver practical training aligned to your operational conditions, reducing downtime and improving workforce capability.
Do you deliver remote mine site training Australia-wide?
Yes. Remote and mine site delivery is a core part of our training model.
We support mining, civil construction, maintenance and shutdown operations across Australia with on-site training aligned to site risk profiles and operational requirements.
Training can be scheduled around shutdown periods, mobilisation windows and FIFO rotations, subject to availability and logistics.
What makes you different from a typical training provider?
We focus on operational relevance rather than volume delivery. Training is contextualised to align with your site systems, risk profile and operational procedures while maintaining compliance with nationally recognised training requirements.
Do you offer refresher training?
Yes. Where appropriate, training can be contextualised to reflect your site procedures, equipment and operational environment. Contextualisation does not alter nationally recognised unit requirements or assessment standards.
How do we request a quote?
Submit a training enquiry outlining site location, required units or courses, participant numbers and preferred dates. Our team will provide a formal proposal including scope and pricing.
On-site Delivery & Logistics FAQs
Is on-site training your primary delivery method?
Yes. On-site delivery is our primary model to ensure practical, real world application within your operational environment.
Do you offer blended delivery options?
Yes. Where suitable, theory components may be delivered via online pre-course learning, followed by on-site practical training and assessment.
What information is required to schedule training?
Site location, number of participants, required units, preferred dates and any specific site access or equipment requirements.
Do you deliver on weekends or after hours?
Weekend or after-hours delivery may be available subject to trainer availability, site conditions and prior agreement.
What are typical group sizes?
Group sizes depend on the unit of competency and regulatory requirements. Practical high-risk training is delivered in smaller groups to ensure appropriate supervision and assessment integrity. Maximum numbers are confirmed during booking.
Do you provide training equipment?
We provide required training materials and specialised equipment where applicable. Site-specific equipment requirements will be confirmed prior to delivery.
How do you minimise operational disruption?
Training is scheduled around shift patterns, shutdown windows and operational constraints to minimise disruption while maintaining compliance requirements.
Confined Space FAQs
Do you deliver Confined Space Entry training?
Yes. We deliver nationally recognised confined space units of competency. Delivery duration is usually one day for the enter confine space and gas test atmosphere, however this may vary depending on unit requirements and participant experience.
What is the difference between the 1-day and 2-day course?
The two day course includes specific additional units and whether additional competencies such as gas testing, permit issuing or rescue are included.
Do you offer Gas Test and Permit Issuer training?
Yes. Gas testing and permit issuing units are available either as standalone units or packaged with confined space training, subject to unit requirements.
How often should confined space training be refreshed?
There is no legislated expiry for nationally recognised units; however, many sites and industry bodies require refresher training every 12–24 months. Refresher requirements should be confirmed against your site or employer policy.
Do you deliver Confined Space Rescue training?
Yes. Confined space rescue units of competency are available and can be delivered on-site, subject to equipment and safety requirements.
Are there prerequisites?
There are no prerequisites for confined space training, however specific unit or qualification would be required prior to undertaking rescue or supervisory units. Entry requirements are confirmed at enrolment.
Height Safety FAQs
Do you deliver Work Safely at Heights training?
Yes. We deliver nationally recognised Work Safely at Heights training, typically aligned to:
- RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights
This unit develops the skills and knowledge required to work safely at height in accordance with workplace procedures and legislative requirements.
Do you offer both 1-day and 2-day heights courses?
Yes.
Our standard 1-day course delivers RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights, covering hazard identification, fall protection systems, equipment inspection and practical application.
Where additional competencies such as rescue or advanced rigging are required, extended programs (2 days or more) are available.
Do you offer refresher training for heights?
Yes. We offer refresher training for Work Safely at Heights.
While there is no legislated expiry for nationally recognised units of competency, many employers and sites require refresher training at defined intervals, commonly every 12–24 months.
Do you provide rescue capability training linked to heights?
Yes. We deliver nationally recognised vertical rescue units alongside Work Safely at Heights training where required.

First Aid FAQs
Do you provide the course 'Provide First Aid'?
Yes. We deliver the nationally recognised unit HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, in accordance with current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Do you offer First Aid in Remote Situations?
Yes. We deliver HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as a standalone course or as part of broader first aid training.
Do you offer Basic Emergency Life Support training?
Yes. We deliver HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support, which covers CPR, AED use and the management of life-threatening emergencies such as choking, severe bleeding and anaphylaxis.
How quickly are certificates issued?
Certificates are made available immediately upon successful completion of all assessment requirements and trainer sign-off.
Participants can access their Statements of Attainment and completed certificates through their secure student portal within the eSkilled system provided they enrolled electronically and their USI has been validated.
Emergency Response & Rescue FAQs
What emergency response training do you deliver?
We deliver nationally recognised rescue and emergency response units suited to high-risk industrial environments. This includes:
- Vertical rescue
- Confined space rescue
- Emergency Response Team (ERT) capability development
- On-site emergency scenario training
Training is aligned to your site risk profile and operational requirements.
Do you deliver Vertical Rescue training?
Yes. We deliver nationally recognised vertical rescue units alongside Work Safely at Heights training where required.
- PUASAR022 – Participate in a rescue operation
- PUASAR032 – Undertake vertical rescue
Rescue competencies are selected based on your operational risk profile, equipment configuration and site requirements.
Can emergency response training be delivered on-site?
Yes. On-site delivery is available and can align with your existing ERT structures and equipment.
Do you offer refresher programs for ERT teams?
Yes. Refresher and currency training is available for ERT personnel. While units do not have legislated expiry dates, many organisations require periodic refresher training based on operational risk and site procedures.
Fire Training FAQs
Do you provide Fire Warden and Chief Warden training?
The terms “Fire Warden” and “Chief Fire Warden” are commonly used in industry; however, the nationally recognised training relates to Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) roles under AS 3745 – Planning for Emergencies in Facilities.
We deliver:
- PUAFER005 – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation (Fire Warden)
- PUAFER006 – Lead an emergency control organisation (Chief Fire Warden)
These units prepare participants to coordinate and manage workplace emergency procedures and evacuations.
Do you deliver training Fire Extinguisher training?
Yes. We deliver training for fire extinguishers and other small emergencies.
- PUAFER008 – Confine small emergencies in a facility
This unit develops the skills required to safely manage small, initial-stage emergencies using workplace emergency equipment.
How long is Warden or Chief Warden training?
Delivery duration depends on the unit or combination of units selected. Programs typically range from half-day to full-day delivery, depending on scope and practical components.
What should participants bring?
Participants should wear appropriate workplace attire and any required PPE relevant to their site environment. Specific requirements will be confirmed prior to delivery.
Work Health & Safety FAQs
Do you offer Drug and Alcohol Testing training?
Yes. We deliver HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing, a nationally recognised unit covering workplace specimen collection procedures.
Do you provide Risk Assessment training?
Yes. We deliver RIIRIS301E – Apply risk management processes, which develops the skills required to identify hazards, assess risk and implement control measures in the workplace.
Do you provide on-site drug and alcohol testing services?
We deliver accredited training in workplace drug and alcohol testing. Operational testing services can be discussed separately and confirmed based on scope and resource availability.

Do you offer corporate group rates?
Yes. Corporate pricing is structured based on scope, location, participant numbers and delivery requirements.
Training is typically delivered on a day-rate basis for on-site corporate bookings. This allows organisations to maximise value across approved participant numbers. Maximum participant limits apply in accordance with unit requirements and assessment conditions.
